Tata Harrier EV Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 21.49 Lakh
Tata Motors is expanding its electric vehicle lineup in India, aiming to maintain its stronghold in the country's electric car market. The Tata Harrier EV, a flagship electric SUV, has been launched in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This launch marks a significant milestone as the Harrier EV has been eagerly awaited by many. It is priced Rs 21.49 lakh (Ex-showroom) and offers four colour options: Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey, and Pristine White.
Bookings for the Harrier EV will commence on 2nd July 2025, with deliveries expected shortly thereafter. A Stealth Edition featuring an all-black theme will also be available soon. The design of the Harrier EV aligns with Tata's other electric vehicles, featuring a closed grille and distinctive bumper designs. New alloy wheels enhance its appearance while maintaining the substantial road presence of its ICE counterparts.

The interior of the Harrier EV boasts advanced equipment similar to other Tata models. It includes a 14.53-inch QLED infotainment screen from Samsung with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Additional features include streaming apps and games, a 10.2-inch instrument cluster with full-screen Maps support, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated seats, powered front seats with memory function for the driver’s seat, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, electric Boss Mode, rear sun shades, Digital Key access, JBL Black premium audio system, Smart IRVM and more.
Safety is paramount in the Harrier EV with a reinforced monocoque chassis based on the Acti.ev+ platform. It includes Level-2 ADAS features such as auto-emergency braking and adaptive cruise control among its 22 safety features. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, ESP and ABS along with notable features like 360-degree cameras and blindspot monitoring.
The Harrier EV offers two battery pack options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. These provide ranges of up to 627km on a single charge or 505km C75 range respectively. The RWD variant delivers 238 PS of peak power while dual-motor configurations offer up to 396 PS and 504 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes just 6.3 seconds.
Charging capabilities are impressive with a 7.2 kW AC charger or using a 125 KW DC charger which charges from 20% to 80% SOC in just 25 minutes. Tata Mega chargers can deliver up to 250 km range in only 15 minutes.
This is Tata's first vehicle since Hexa and Safari Storme to feature RWD and QWD options; dual-motor variants are termed QWD (Quad Wheel Drive). Higher trims have one motor per axle enhancing performance across terrains through upgraded Terrain Modes including Normal, Sand, Mud Ruts among others.
The Harrier EV also introduces Transparent Mode providing video feed even underbody aiding off-road adventures further enhancing its capability across challenging terrains.
The introduction of rear independent suspension after Nano promises unmatched comfort levels compared to non-independent setups making it suitable for varied driving conditions ensuring both performance prowess alongside passenger comfortability within this segment-leading offering by Tata Motors.
