Skoda Kodiaq SUV Discontinued In India: Next-Gen Model Launch In April!

The upcoming Skoda Kodiaq, set to launch in India soon, was recently showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. As the carmaker prepares for this new release, the current Kodiaq model has been removed from Skoda India's official website. This leaves Skoda with three models available in India: Kylaq, Slavia, and Kushaq.

The previous generation of the Skoda Kodiaq served as the brand's flagship model in India. It was priced at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and offered in a single Laurin and Klement (L&K) trim. The SUV was powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 187 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Design & Features

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is expected to be launched by May this year. It will feature significant design updates, including sleeker LED headlamps and redesigned bumpers. The SUV will ride on newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels with rounded wheel arches and black cladding. At the rear, C-shaped LED taillights will be connected by a sleek LED light bar.

Inside, the new Kodiaq boasts a redesigned dual-spoke steering wheel with Skoda lettering. The cabin features a layered dashboard using sustainable materials extensively. A stalk behind the steering wheel houses the gear shifter, freeing up space in the centre console for a wireless phone charger and storage with a retractable lid.

Advanced Technology & Safety Features

The new generation Kodiaq includes a 13-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver's display. Other features include a premium audio system, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless phone charger, and heated and ventilated front seats.

Safety features are comprehensive with multiple airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and hill hold assist. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) may include automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, and parking assist functions.

Performance Enhancements

The SUV is powered by an upgraded 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DCT. This engine channels power to all wheels via an AWD system, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque—making it more powerful than its predecessor.

The Czech automaker is gearing up for the launch of this updated model after its display last month in India. With these enhancements in design and technology, the new Skoda Kodiaq aims to maintain its position as the flagship model for Skoda in India.
