2025 Skoda Kodiaq India Launch In April: Sportline & L&K Trims Announced

The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is set to launch in India, offering two distinct trims. Skoda Auto India's brand director, Petr Janeba, announced that the pricing for this seven-seat SUV will be revealed in April. The Kodiaq will be available in Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K) variants, each featuring unique design elements and features.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq Variants

The Sportline trim of the 2025 Kodiaq is expected to have a sportier look compared to the L&K version. It will likely feature blacked-out elements instead of chrome on parts like the grille and D-pillars. Inside, the Sportline may continue this theme with dark upholstery and interior highlights. The L&K trim, showcased at Auto Expo 2025, will offer a more luxurious appearance.

Engine Specifications

Under the hood, the new Kodiaq retains its predecessor's 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine delivers 190hp and 320Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. All-wheel drive remains standard across both trims, ensuring robust performance on various terrains.

Kodiaq RS Launch Details

Skoda plans to expand the Kodiaq lineup with an RS variant by late 2025. If confirmed, this high-performance model will feature a more powerful version of the same engine, producing 265hp and 400Nm of torque. The RS will also boast larger brakes and sportier design tweaks both inside and out.

The anticipated Kodiaq RS will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), unlike the locally assembled standard models. This import status means it could come with a higher price tag due to additional duties and taxes.

Local Assembly Plans

The Sportline and L&K trims of the new Kodiaq will be assembled locally in India. This local assembly helps keep costs competitive while maintaining quality standards. However, should the RS variant be introduced, its CBU status would differentiate it from these locally produced models.

As Skoda prepares for this launch, enthusiasts eagerly await further details on features specific to each trim level. The combination of local assembly for some models and potential CBU imports for others highlights Skoda's strategic approach in catering to diverse market segments within India.
