Kia Carens Clavis Variants & Features Explained In Detail
The Kia Carens Clavis has been introduced as a more upscale version of the standard Carens MPV. It features significant exterior design updates, including new headlights similar to the EV6 facelift, redesigned bumpers, and fresh 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the changes are more subtle in design but substantial in terms of features. The Carens Clavis is available in seven variants, each offering unique features.
The Carens Clavis retains the same engine and gearbox options as the standard Carens. It includes a 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 116hp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Additionally, there's a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine available with various gearbox options.
HTE Variant Features
The HTE variant offers front and rear skid plates, a rear spoiler with a stop lamp, and different wheel options for petrol and diesel models. Inside, it features a black-beige dual-tone interior scheme and semi-leatherette seat upholstery. Other highlights include keyless entry with an alarm, second-row seats with multiple adjustments, and numerous safety features like six airbags and electronic stability control.
HTE(O) Variant Enhancements
Building on the HTE variant, the HTE(O) adds features such as electrically adjustable ORVMs with LED indicators and an automatic light control system. It also includes an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with steering-mounted audio controls for added convenience.
HTK Variant Additions
The HTK variant introduces LED daytime running lights and integrated roof rails. The interior sees improvements like automatic climate control and seat back pockets for passengers. Additional conveniences include front parking sensors and one-touch auto up/down driver window functionality.

HTX+ Variant Premium Features
At the top of the range is the HTX+ variant which includes second-row captain seats for added comfort. It also offers ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, paddle shifters (DCT only), and Level 2 ADAS suite exclusive to this trim.
