Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024: Tata Curvv SUV Makes Its Debut
Tata Motors has showcased the Tata Curvv SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 ahead of its launch in India. This sleek SUV sets itself apart with its unique coupe styling, which is poised to grab eyeballs.
When launched, the Tata Curvv SUV will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and a few more compact SUVs. That being said, we expect Tata Motors to launch the Curvv SUV in a few more months.

In terms of design, the grille and the surface detailing of the Tata Curvv are reminiscent of the Harrier and with features like sequential turn signals that mirror the Nexon, the Curvv is a harmonious blend of the best Tata has to offer.
While the front facade of the Curvv draws inspiration from existing Tata models, its side and rear profiles introduce a fresh perspective. The SUV's body is adorned with sharp, straight lines and pronounced squared wheel arches, setting it apart from its kin.

The dual-tone machined alloy wheels, potentially a premium offering, elevate the Curvv's visual aesthetics, while the introduction of flush-type door handles, a first for Tata, adds to its sleek appeal. The SUV's ground clearance and probable 18-inch wheels hint at a robust and commanding presence on the road.
At the rear, the Curvv's design harmonizes with its overall aesthetic, featuring a sloping roofline that seamlessly blends into the boot section. Similar to the front, the rear boasts a full-width LED light bar and other striking details. These elements contribute to the Curvv's distinctive look.

That being said, Tata Curvv's segment-first coupe styling is bound to attract enthusiasts who have a penchant for this elegant body style. Though leveraging the existing design language of Tata vehicles, the Curvv's side and rear profiles offer a fresh identity, potentially giving it an edge over its rivals.
However, the deciding factor for many consumers will likely be the SUV's feature list. Tata's commitment to offering a plethora of premium and high-tech features in their vehicles signals that the Curvv will be no exception, possibly including some segment-first offerings.
Coming to the powertrain, the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV is expected to be powered by a new 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine with around 125bhp and 225Nm of torque. Tata Motors also confirmed that the Curvv will also sport a diesel powertrain option.
On the other hand, the Tata Curvv EV is said to come with the automaker's Gen2 electric powertrain setup. This uprated powertrain is expected to have a claimed range of more than 450 kilometres on a full charge and the model is also expected to feature AWD.
