Skoda Kylaq: A Comprehensive Look At All Variants

Skoda India has unveiled the Kylaq compact SUV. This vehicle will be available in four distinct trims: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. Each trim comes with its own set of features, catering to various customer preferences. Let's delve into the specifics of what each variant offers.

Classic Trim

The Classic trim serves as the entry-level option and is priced starting at Rs 7.89 lakh. It includes a 6-speed manual transmission, 16-inch steel wheels, and six airbags for safety.

Additional features include manual day/night IRVM, ISOFIX anchors, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, adjustable headrests, traction control, auto start-stop function, central locking, power windows, manual AC, rear AC vents, analogue dials with digital MID, front centre armrest, a 12V charging socket at the front, tilt steering adjustment, powered ORVMs, fabric seats, and four speakers.

Signature Trim

Building on the Classic trim's offerings, the Signature variant adds several enhancements. It features 16-inch alloy wheels instead of steel ones and includes a tyre pressure monitor and rear defogger for added convenience.

The interior sees upgrades like a dual-tone dash and door panels with seat fabric to match. A 5-inch infotainment touchscreen is included along with steering-mounted controls and chrome garnishes on AC vents and door handles. USB C-Type slots at the front and a rear parcel shelf are also part of this package.

Signature+ Trim

The Signature+ trim offers both manual (6MT) and automatic (6AT) gearbox options. It further enhances comfort with a rear centre armrest and introduces a larger 10-inch touchscreen for infotainment needs.

Automatic climate control (Auto AC), digital dials for instrumentation, power-folding mirrors and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome accents are included as well. Cruise control is added for ease during long drives, while paddle shifters provide an engaging driving experience.

Prestige Trim

At the top of the range is the Prestige trim which builds upon everything offered in Signature+. This variant includes larger 17-inch alloy wheels for improved aesthetics and performance along with additional features like a rear wiper and auto-dimming IRVM for enhanced visibility during night drives or adverse weather conditions.

A powered sunroof adds luxury while ventilated seats ensure comfort even during hot days; leatherette upholstery gives an upscale feel inside while powered front seats allow easy adjustments according to driver preference.

Engine and Performance

All versions of the Skoda Kylaq are equipped with a 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. However, the Classic and Signature trims are expected to come only with a 6-speed manual gearbox, lacking the automatic option available in higher trims. Skoda boasts that the Kylaq can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in approximately 10.5 seconds.

Further details about fuel efficiency figures as well as pricing information for other variants will be disclosed soon by Skoda India as they position Kylaq against competitors such as Tata Nexon or Mahindra XUV300 among others within this segment of compact SUVs available in India today!
