Porsche Macan EV New Variants – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Porsche recently launched two new variants of the Macan EV in India. Along with it, Porsche also hiked the price of the top-spec Porsche Macan EV Turbo from Rs 1.65 crore to Rs 1.69 crores (ex-showroom). That being said, here are the top things to know about the new variants of the Porsche Macan EV.
New Base Variant
One of the newly introduced variants in the Porsche Macan EV lineup is the introduction of a new base variant. This model is priced at Rs 1.23 crore (ex-showroom), and comes with just one electric motor driving the rear wheels alone.

Also, this model packs in 360hp and 563Nm of peak torque, resulting in a 0-100km/h time of just 5.7 seconds. Moreover, the top speed of the base Porsche Macan EV stands at a very respectable 220km/h.
New Mid-Spec Variant
The Porsche Macan 4S EV is the other newly introduced variant in the Macan EV lineup. This model sits right between the base variant and the top-spec Porsche Macan Turbo EV with a price tag of Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom).

This model comes equipped with two electric motors, and together they produce a total of 516hp and 820Nm of peak torque. Performance-wise, the new Porsche Macan 4S EV can sprint to 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds and attain a higher top speed at 240km/h.
Range
All variants of the Porsche Macan EV come with a large 100kWh battery pack. As such, the base variant with its single-electric motor offers the highest range at 641km on a full charge.

In comparison, the top-spec Porsche Macan Turbo EV offers a range of 591km on a full charge, whereas the new mid-spec Porsche Macan 4S EV offers a range of 606km on a fully charged battery pack.
Charging
The Porsche Macan EV range uses an advanced 800V architecture. This architecture enables the Macan EV range to utilise 270kW DC chargers. Using such chargers, the Macan EV can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes.

Bookings & Rivals
Bookings for the newly launched variants of the Porsche Macan EV are already open. In India, the Porsche Macan EV's primary rivals include other luxury electric SUVs such as the Audi Q8 e-Tron, Mercedes-Benz EQE, and BMW iX.

Porsche has also added a new Slate Grey Neo colour and 20-inch wheel options to the Macan EV range. Moreover, customers can now opt for a new off-road design package that is available across all variants, which increases ground clearance by 10mm and enhances approach angle.
