Porsche Macan EV New Variants Launched In India – Prices Now Start At Rs 1.23 Crore
Porsche launched two new variants of the Macan EV in India. Out of the two newly launched variants, one of which is an entry-level model with a RWD layout. As a result, Prices for the Porsche Macan EV now start at Rs 1.23 crore (ex-showroom).
Other than the new entry-level variant, Porsche also launched the Macan 4S EV. This new variant is priced at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). It is also worth mentioning that the Porsche also hiked the price of the Macan EV Turbo from Rs 1.65 crore to Rs 1.69 crores (ex-showroom).

As mentioned, the newly launched entry-level Porsche Macan features just a single electric motor and sends all its power to the rear wheels. This single electric motor in the base Macan EV puts out 360hp and 563Nm of peak torque.
Thanks to its clever electronic aids and instant torque from the electrical powertrain, the new base variant of the Porsche Macan can accelerate to 100km/h from a standstill in just 5.7 seconds. Moreover, the topspeed of this model is rated as 220km/h.
In comparison, the other newly launched variant, the Porsche Macan 4S EV, comes equipped with dual electric motors and sends power to both the front and rear wheels. These two electric motors together produce a total of 516hp and 820Nm of peak torque.

As a result of this punchier electrical powertrain system and improved traction (All-wheel-drive), the new Porsche Macan 4S EV can sprint to 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds. Moreover, the additional power also helps the model clock a higher top speed at 240km/h.
That being said, all three variants of the Porsche Macan EV come equipped with a 100kWh battery pack. However, it is the base variant with its efficient single-electric motor setup offers the highest range of 641km on a full charge.
In comparison, the top-spec Porsche Macan Turbo EV offers a range of 591km on a full charge, whereas the mid-spec Porsche Macan 4S EV offers a range of 606km on a fully charged battery pack.

Along with the introduction of two new variants of the Macan EV SUV, Porsche has also added a new Slate Grey Neo colour and 20-inch wheel options to the model range. There is also a new off-road design package that is available across all variants, which increases ground clearance by 10mm and enhances approach angle.
It is also worth mentioning that the Porsche Macan EV range uses an 800V architecture, which enables the model to use chargers as powerful as 270KW DC. Using such chargers, the model can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes.
Bookings for the newly launched variants of Porsche Macan EV are already open and its primary rivals include other luxury electric SUVs such as Audi Q8 e-Tron, Mercedes-Benz EQE, and BMW iX.
