Mahindra Thar Roxx Bookings To Start On October 3 – Token Amount Set At Rs 21,000
Mahindra recently launched the long-awaited 5-door version of the Thar SUV in India and it is named as 'Thar Roxx'. Prices for the model starts at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base petrol variant, whereas the 4X4 model prices start at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
As of now, Mahindra is yet to open bookings for the new Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV. However, the bookings for the Thar Roxx is said to commence on October 3, and the token amount is set at Rs 21,000.
That being said, the deliveries of the Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV is said to commence by the end of October 2024. Also, deliveries of the top-spec variants are expected to be given more priority.
Under the hood, the Mahindra Thar Roxx offers a variety of engine and transmission options. For starters, the model is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, with an additional option to choose 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
However, a closer look reveals that the petrol and diesel automatic powertrain options offer different tuning compared to their respective manual counterparts. This makes the powertrain choice a lot more complicated for a potential buyer.

Under the skin, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is much more than just an extended Thar 3-door SUV. Mahindra has worked well to make the model a lot more luxurious on the inside, and the suspension system has been thoroughly reworked to offer better comfort - making it more suitable for family use.
Inside, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is much more welcoming with light-coloured interior and advanced tech. In fact, the Tar Roxx comes with better equipment such a bigger infotainment unit, ADAS tech, digital instrument cluster, electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof and much more.
