Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-Door SUV Variant Details: Exploring Pricing & Features
Mahindra has unveiled the prices for most of its Thar Roxx range, except for the 4x4 models. The 5-door SUV is available in 18 variants, with the 14 Thar Roxx 4x2 variants priced between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 20.49 lakh. These come with both petrol and diesel engine options, as well as manual and automatic transmissions.
Powertrain Options for Mahindra Thar Roxx Variants
The Mahindra Thar Roxx comes with two engine choices: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel, each paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The petrol-manual versions generate 162hp and 330Nm of torque, while the petrol-automatic variants produce 177hp and 380Nm.
All diesel 4x2 models, whether manual or automatic, feature a 152hp and 330Nm version of the 2.2-litre diesel engine. The diesel-powered 4x4 trims come in manual and automatic forms, delivering 175hp and 370Nm.

Features Across Mahindra Thar Roxx Variants
The MX1 variant includes features like six airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts for all passengers, LED lighting front and rear, dual-tone exterior finish, and an infotainment touchscreen among others.
Moving up to the MX3 variant adds drive modes (Zip and Zoom), terrain modes (snow, sand, mud), rear camera, hill ascent and descent assist, traction control system, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, HD infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay.
The MX5 variant builds on MX3 features by adding tyre pressure monitor, auto headlight and wipers, front parking sensors, LED DRLs and fog lights, alloy wheels, sunroof, leatherette seats and steering cover.
For those opting for AX3 L trim will get additional features like ADAS suite, electronic parking brake, digital driver display connected car tech along with wireless Apple CarPlay.
The AX5 L variant further enhances the offering with features like 'Smart Crawl' off-road cruise control system (for AT only) and 'Intelliturn' tight turn feature (for AT only).
Finally, the top-tier AX7 L variant includes a panoramic sunroof, powered adjustable driver's seat ventilated front seats cooled glove box power folding ORVMs along with a premium audio system from Harmon Kardon.
Interestingly enough the pricing of Thar Roxx overlaps not only with its sibling models like Thar's own three-door version but also competes against other midsize SUVs such as Hyundai Creta Kia Seltos Honda Elevate Maruti Grand Vitara Toyota Hyryder MG Astor Skoda Kushaq Volkswagen Taigun among others
