Nissan India recently unveiled the X-Trail SUV ahead of its launch in the country. As such, here are the top 5 things we know so far about the upcoming India-spec Nissan X-Trail SUV.
Design & Platform
The upcoming Nissan X-Trail SUV is in its fourth generation and it is based on the CMF-C platform. This iteration of the model has been on sale in global markets since 2021.

Design-wise, the Nissan X-Trail looks every bit like an SUV with its upright stance. However, there are plenty of design elements that make the model look a bit more premium and rugged at the same time.
These clever design elements on the new Nissan X-Trail SUV include 360-degree plastic cladding, split headlamp design, door-mounted ORVMs, neatly integrated roof rails, and a set of large 20-inch alloy wheels.
Dimensions
As mentioned, the upcoming new India-spec Nissan -Trail SUV sports large 20-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, these wheels come wrapped in 255/45 tyres. Also, the model flaunts a very respectable 210mm of ground clearance.

Dimension-wise, the India-Spec Nissan X-Trail SUV measures 4,680mm long, 1,840mm wide, 1,725mm tall, and sports a 2,705mm long wheelbase. Also, despite its large size, the Nissan X-Trail has a short turning radius of just 5.5 metres.
Interior & Features
Though the fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail SUV is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater variants, the upcoming India-spec model will come exclusively with 3-row seating to accommodate 7 passengers.

Features-wise, the India-spec Nissan XTrail SUV will come equipped with features such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, a similar-sized instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, 40/20/40 split folding middle seat, 50/50 folding 3rd-row seat, and more.
Safety
Since the Nissan X-Trail SUV will be a fully imported model, safety systems are not compromised as the model comes loaded to the brim with passive safety features such as 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, hill start assist, a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, auto wipers and much more.

Powertrain
The powertrain in the Nissan X-Trail SUV could be surprising to many as the model comes equipped with a small 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged unit. However, this unit is further boosted with a 12V mild-hybrid system to produce a total of 163hp and 300Nm of torque.
It is worth mentioning that the upcoming India-spec Nissan Xtrail won't be coming with a manual transmission, instead, it will feature a shift-by-wire CVT gearbox. Though a CVT unit, this gearbox is said to have a minimal rubberband effect.
