New Maruti Wagon R’s TVC Is The Most Positive Thing You’ll See Today
Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Wagon R at a starting price of Rs 4.19 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). Bookings for the 2019 Maruti Wagon R were already started for an amount of Rs 11,000, and deliveries are expected to commence soon.
Now, Maruti Suzuki has launched a new TVC (Television Commercial) video of the new Wagon R. It carries the message, #DilSeStrong or 'Strong By Heart' and could be the best thing you'll see today.
As with any other Maruti Suzuki video commercial, the 2019 Maruti Wagon R's three-minute TVC was shot in an Indian context. The theme of the video revolves around a child who is worried about missing his friends after he and his family shift to another place. The 2019 Wagon R is much larger than before and employs Suzuki's well-acclaimed HEARTECT platform. The same architecture also underpins the current Maruti Swift, Ignis, Baleno and even the new Ertiga MPV. Compared to the previous-generation Wagon R, the new model has a wheelbase of 2435mm; an increase of 35mm.
The design looks fresh and modern. Maruti Suzuki definitely seems to be upping their game when it comes to aesthetics, by avoiding tasteless chrome enhancements, though we expect many aftermarket accessories outlets to make up for it.
Features such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered ORVMs and a split-folding rear bench seat are also part of the package — check out the top features of the new Maruti Wagon R.
Regarding specifications, the 2019 Maruti Wagon comes only in a petrol format, but with two engine choices: 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre. The 1.0-litre engine gives out 67bhp and 90Nm of torque while the 1.2-litre unit produces 90bhp and 113Nm. The engines come standard with a five-speed manual transmission. The 1.2-litre variant has the option for its respective AMT unit as well.
