Tata Tiago NRG Top Features: Active Interiors, Touchscreen Infotainment, High Clearance & More
Tata Tiago NRG Top Features You Should Know: The Tiago NRG was launched by Tata Motors at an introductory starting price of Rs 5.49 lakh for the petrol and Rs 6.31 lakh for the diesel variant. The Tata Tiago NRG is aimed to rival the CelerioX and comes with some extra cosmetic bits to justify its crossover tag.
The Tata Tiago NRG is the crossover version of the regular Tiago and is powered by the same engine options. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine makes 84bhp and 114Nm of torque while the 1.05-litre diesel unit makes 69bhp and 140Nm. Both engines come mated only to a 5-speed manual.
Other than the styling and noticeably-higher ground clearance, the Tata Tiago NRG is not majorly different from the regular model; except for some features.
Here are those Tata Tiago NRG top features you should know about!
‘Urban Toughroader' Design
The Tata Tiago NRG comes with some bulky and imposing body parts to give it an ‘Urban Toughroader' look (as coined by Tata themselves). The rugged body claddings, skid plates and blacked-out elements give the Tiago NRG a unique stance in its segment.
The NRG comes with 14-inch four-spoke alloy wheels which are not the best-looking but goes well with the overall design. The rear also gets some blacked out elements on the tailgate and bumpers. The roof is black too.
High Ground Clearance
One of the main highlights of the new Tiago NRG is the high ground clearance. Tailor-made for Indian road conditions, the Tata Tiago NRG comes with a ground clearance of 180mm; 10mm more than the regular Tiago.
Active Interiors With Orange Highlights
The interiors of the new Tata Tiago NRG is similar to that of the regular Tiago, in terms of design. However, there are some orange highlights on the dashboard; around the AC vents and central bridge. The central console has got a silver finish rather than piano-black as in the Tiago.

Five-Inch Touchscreen Infotainment System
The Tata Tiago NRG comes with a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Harman. The system supports navigation and a lot of other functionalities accessible through Tata's ConnectNext smartphone app.
The eight-speaker Harman audio system is one of the best in the business. It delivers class-leading sound quality for the Tata Tiago NRG's price.
Height-Adjustable Driver Seat
The driver seat is height-adjustable in the new Tata Tiago NRG. Owners of the Tiago have always had a complaint that the driver seat featured no height adjustment. The feature, in combination with tilt steering, lets the driver position himself better.
Host Of Safety Essentials
For the price, the Tata Tiago NRG features a lot of safety equipment. Here are some of them:
- Reverse parking assist
- Dual front airbags
- ABS + EBD
- Corner stability control
- Steering-mounted controls
- Rear wiper
- Follow-me headlamps
