Honda Amaze 2018 Launch Highlights: Prices Start At 5.59 Lakh, 12 Variants, Five Colours & More
The Honda Amaze is the latest entrant in the compact-sedan segment in India. Originally launched back in April 2013, the Honda Amaze rivals the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and the Volkswagen Ameo. The second-generation Honda Amaze was unveiled at Auto Expo 2018.

The 2018 Honda Amaze features an entirely new design in-line with that of the City and, to an extent, the Accord. The sedan is now 5mm longer and 15mm wider at 3995mm and 1695mm length and breadth, respectively. The wheelbase has also increased by 65mm.
Inside, the new Honda Amaze gets a dual-tone theme. The car also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2018 Honda Amaze comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1.2-litre petrol engine makes 87bhp and 110Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel unit puts out 99bhp and 200Nm. The engines come mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT unit - A first for the diesel Amaze. In fact, the Honda Amaze is the only car in the segment to get CVT in the diesel variant.
Claimed mileage figures of the new Amaze is as follows:
- Petrol (manual): 19.5km/l
- Petrol (automatic): 19km/l
- Diesel (manual): 27.4km/l
- Diesel (automatic): 23.8km/l

The new Amaze is available in the following shades: Radiant Red, Orchid White Pearl, Modern Steel, Golden Metallic Brown and Lunar Silver.
The CVT unit is available only in the mid-spec S & V variants. The top-variant VX gets only a manual transmission.
CVT Model Prices:
The petrol CVT (S trim) starts at a price of Rs 7.39 lakh. The diesel CVT (S trim) costs Rs 8.39 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom pan India.
