Mahindra Marazzo Gifted To Fisherman, Jaisal KP — A Hero During The Kerala Floods
Kerala Floods 2018 is regarded as the biggest tragedy the country has seen in recent times. The horrific floods have claimed a lot of lives and livelihood and many are still staying at rescue camps, hoping to start from the very bottom, someday.
The floods in Kerala witnessed a lot of heroic efforts and sacrifices irrespective of their community. Out of them, the fishing community is regarded as the real heroes of the flood. Thousands were rescued by fishermen who took their boats and risked their lives to save the victims from the most challenging conditions of the floods.
One such kind soul was Mr Jaisal KP. The young fisherman was recently praised by many for his selfless act during the calamity. In a video shared on social media, Jaisal is seen lying on his knees to act as a step for women and children to get on to a rescue boat. He did this act since the water current was too strong and women found it difficult to get on board the boat; the high ingress being another problem.
Now, a Mahindra Marazzo has been gifted very kindly to Jaised by the brand's official dealership in Calicut, Eram Motors. The keys to the newly-launched MPV was handed over to Jaisal by Kerala Minister for Labour, T P Ramakrishnan along with Siddeek Ahmed, Chairman and MD of Eram Group.
Jaisal is from a poor family but is regarded as a very brave and kind individual who is always at the front whenever someone is in need of any assistance. When asked how he feels after getting the new Mahindra Marazzo, he replied, "I'm very happy for this kind token of appreciation and I wish to use the car to continue helping people who are in need."
The Mahindra Marazzo is the latest entrant in the MPV/MUV market in India and was launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. Currently available only in a diesel format, the Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a 1.5-litre engine which makes 121bhp and 300Nm of torque. The powerplant comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The new Marazzo comes with a lot of features for its price and is built around an entirely new platform. Mahindra markets the Marazzo as an MPV with a design inspired by a shark. Overall, it is a really good offering from the Indian brand and packs quite well in the technology, features and safety departments.
Thoughts On Jaisal Being Gifted A Mahindra Marazzo
Jaisal, along with many others from the regular public, military and police force, were the ones responsible for saving the many lives who were left stranded and in risk during the floods. Even many celebrities and respected individuals have actively supported the needy directly, or indirectly through social media. Kerala is still recovering from the shock and we hope that the kind act of Eram Motors will encourage more citizens to lend a helping hand to those who are in need of help.
