Design

The Ford Freestyle features a similar design as compared to the Figo hatchback except for some subtle changes. The crossover hatchback sports a hexagonal blacked out front grille, smoked headlamps and a skid plate at the front and rear. The Hyundai i20 Active looks similar to the Elite i20 hatchback but sports few distinctive design elements to give it a rugged look. The i20 Active gets a prominent silver skid plate at the front and round fog lamps. The plastic cladding runs across the body starting from front bumper to rear bumper.

The side profile of the Hyundai i20 features a floating roof design with the blacked out C-pillar. The i20 Active is also equipped with roof rails and rear spoiler.

The Toyota Etios Cross is also based on the Etios hatchback but features body cladding and skid plates for that rugged look. The Etios Cross gets a new front end with the silver grille guard which extends to the bumper. The thick body cladding runs across the body. The crossover also gets roof rails and rear spoiler.

The Ford Freestyle comes loaded with features such as a 6.5-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, power folding ORVMs, rain sensing wipers, 15-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlamps.

With the launch of the Ford Freestyle, the crossover hatchback segment in India has spiced up. With the number of features and looks, the Freestyle is the best option if you are looking to buy a crossover hatchback.

The Hyundai i20 Active is an equally capable vehicle as compared to the Freestyle, but it is slightly expensive than the Freestyle. On the design front, the i20 Active is elegant and comes with a lot of features.

The Toyota Etios Cross is priced similar to the Freestyle but misses out on some important features. But on the mechanical front, the Etios Cross is a capable vehicle with three engine options.
