Volkswagen Polo Adds Another Feather To Its Credentials In India
Customers have ranked the Volkswagen Polo the highest in the JD Power 2016 India Initial Quality Study (IQS).
German manufacturer, Volkswagen began manufacturing the Polo hatchback from 1975 and is currently sold in several markets globally.
The VW Polo has vowed many with not just performance, but even for its build quality. Even after more than 40 years since it was available on the market, the VW Polo continues to excel in all aspects of a hot hatchback.
What we are going to read about the Polo in India is that customers have voted the Volkswagen Polo the highest in the JD Power 2016 India Initial Quality Study (IQS).
The study covered problems that owners experienced with new vehicles during the first two to six months of ownership. The survey was conducted among 8,330 vehicle owners across 30 cities in India.
In the study, more than 200 problem symptoms in eight vehicle categories were reviewed: engine and gearbox; driving experience; HVAC; vehicle exterior; features, controls and displays; vehicle interior; audio, entertainment and navigation; and seats.
All problems were analysed as the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score showing a lower incidence of problems and higher initial quality.
Customers voted the Volkswagen Polo with 55 PP100 in the premium compact segment of cars, taking top honours in the study by J.D. Power.
The current score has been significantly better than the average of the premium hatchback segment, which stands at 89 PP100 as well as that of the overall industry which stands at 95 PP100.
