2017 Tata Nexon Design & Features
The Tata Nexon is the fourth model designed using Tata's IMPACT design philosophy. The compact SUV uses a mixture of design elements from coupes and traditional SUVs, making it look unique.
Up front, the Nexon's headlamps with integrated LED DRLs are set high and flanked by a black-coloured honeycomb grille. The Nexon's signature design element, which Tata calls the humanity line, stretches across the entire front end of the car. The rather large fog lamps are hosted in a ceramic housing.

The side profile of the Tata Nexon is defined by the floating rood design, which is only enhanced by the dual-tone paint job. The flared wheel arches play host to 16-inch machine-cut dual-tone alloy wheels.
The ceramic plastic material surrounding the fog lamps is also present at the rear, this time in the shape of an elongated X, stretching from one tail-lamp to the other. The tail lamp looks neat and compliments the rear end with the sharply raked glass.
Tata Nexon Interiors
The cabin of the Tata Nexon looks and feels premium for the price it is being sold at. The dashboard has a layered look to it with the top layer finished in a dark grey shade and the bottom layer in beige.
The layer in between is finished in metallic grey, and the same finish can be seen on the door handles as well. The centre console is done-up in a glossy piano black finish and plays host to the controls for the infotainment system and the air-conditioning system.
The Tata Nexon features a 6.5-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system mounted on top of the dashboard next to the instrument cluster.
The Infotainment system currently features Android Auto and turn-by-turn navigation by Google maps. It is expected to be updated with Apple CarPlay at a later date.
The Nexon is equipped with two 12V charging points and rear A/C vents with blower controls.
Tata Nexon Safety
The Tata Nexon features dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard across all variants.
The Tata Nexon is poised to be a game-changer in the compact SUV segment. It brings fresh and funky design to the segment, is packed with features and all at a such a low price point. If Tata wins the war in the compact SUV segment it would be because of their excellent pricing.
