Skoda Rapid Edition X Revealed; Replaces Monte Carlo Edition
Skoda Rapid Edition X replaces Monte Carlo edition.
Skoda Rapid Edtion X launched in India. The new Rapid Edition X is primarily a re-badged version of the Monte Carlo edition.
A top-spec variant for their mid-size sedan, the Rapid Monte Carlo edition was launched in August 2017 with prices starting at Rs 10.75 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
Recently, the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo edition sales had to be stopped due to a trademark dispute with the Monte Carlo clothing company, which resulted in a court asking the Czech carmaker to refrain from using the Monte Carlo badge due to copyright infringement.
Apart from the change in name, the Skoda Rapid Edition X is expected to be specced the same way as the Monte Carlo edition. The Rapid Monte Carlo or the Edition X is likely to retain the black painted front grille, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a black tailgate spoiler and a faux diffuser.
Inside, the Rapid Edition X is likely to come with all-black interiors, new flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, red and black leatherette seats and stainless-steel foot pedals.
