Skoda Kodiaq India Launch Date Revealed
Skoda is all set to launch the Kodiaq SUV in the India market.
Skoda has recently launched the Octavia RS in the Indian market. Now, the Czech automaker is all set to introduce another product in the country.
Autocar India reports that Skoda will launch its flagship SUV, the Kodiaq in India on October 4, 2017.
Kodiaq will be the first full-fledged SUV from Skoda in the Indian market. The SUV is based on the Volkswagen Group's flexible MQB platform which also underpins the Superb and Octavia.
The front profile of the Kodiaq SUV features signature Skoda butterfly grille, LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. The side profile gets a prominent shoulder line which runs across the doors and integrates with the tail lamps.

The Kodiaq SUV will draw power from the existing 2-litre TDI diesel engine producing 143bhp and 320Nm of torque. No petrol variant will be offered at least at the time of launch. The Octavia and Volkswagen Tiguan also utilises the same diesel engine. The SUV will also get an all-wheel-drive system.
On the interior, the Kodiaq will be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV is likely to feature hands-free parking assist which is also offered on the Octavia.

Skoda is all set to enter the SUV segment in the Indian market with the launch of the Kodiaq. The SUV is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 27 lakh to Rs 32 lakh ex-showroom. The Kodiaq will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
