Ranbir Kapoor Promotes The New Renault Captur SUV
Renault has released a new TVC featuring Ranbir Kapoor to promote the Captur SUV.
Renault India recently launched the new Captur SUV in the country. Now, the French automaker has roped in Ranbir Kapoor to promote its latest offering in India.
Renault has released a new television commercial featuring Ranbir Kapoor and the SUV has hit the TV screens in India.

The Renault Captur is offered in a five-seat configuration in both petrol, and diesel versions. The prices for the base petrol variant starts at Rs 9.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 13.88 lakh for the top-of-the-range diesel trim. All prices are ex-showroom (India).

The India-spec Renault Captur is based on the Duster's B0 platform and also borrows its engines and gearboxes from the compact SUV. The overall design of the Captur remains identical to the global-spec model.

The petrol version of the Captur draws power from a 1.5-litre engine producing 105bhp and 142Nm of torque. The diesel unit is also a 1.5-litre engine churning out 119bhp and 240Nm of torque. The petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas the diesel engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Renault is also planning to introduce automatic gearbox in both the petrol and diesel engines which is expected to be launched in 2018. The automatic SUVs are popular in the Indian market, and most of its rivals do offer an automatic transmission. So, the Captur might get the automatic gearbox very soon.

Currently , the Captur is offered in front-wheel-drive configuration, it is also expected that the company might introduce the all-wheel-drive variant of the SUV as the platform is compatible with the system. ABS and dual-front airbags are offered as standard equipment across all the variants.

The new Renault Captur is compact SUV with the crossover-style design. The Captur also comes with a host of features which makes it stand out from the crowd in the Indian market. The Captur has been slotted above the Duster and will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV500.
