India-Bound Kia Motors Reveals Rio Pulse Edition
The Kia Rio Pulse Edition comes with new tech and equipment.
Kia Motors, who will start selling cars in India from 2019, has revealed a limited edition of the Rio Pulse. The Rio Pulse Edition is a sporty take on the hot hatch.
The special edition Kia Rio Pulse is available in clear white and midnight black colour schemes. To set it apart from the regular model, the Rio Pulse comes with a red roof, red front vents, mirror caps and side skirt trims.
The hatch sits on 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/45 R17 tyres, receives a black radiator grille with chrome surround, while the rear side windows and tailgate get a privacy glass.
Inside the cabin, the Rio Pulse Edition receives the similar red-highlight theme. The interiors feature black and red faux leather upholstery, with faux red leather door inserts, while the dashboard fascia is finished with red metallic paint.
Additionally, the steering wheel and the gear shifter are wrapped in sporty leather upholstery and stainless steel pedals. As for safety features, the Rio Pulse edition comes with electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, cornering brake control, straight-line stability and hill start assist.
As for tech and equipment, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes as standard with connectivity features such as DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and USB points. There is the reverse camera linked to the display; also, there is 6-speaker audio setup.
Under the hood, the Rio Pulse is powered by a 1.25-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which churns out 83bhp and 121Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox sends power to the front wheels. Kia claims the Rio Pulse can sprint from 0 to 100 in 12.5 seconds and a top speed of 172km/h.
DriveSpark Thinks!
There might not be much of a difference to the regular model, but the Kia Rio Pulse edition does stand apart from the crowd with its red highlights along with new tech and equipment.
