India's Most Fuel Efficient Car Revealed

One of the most anticipated launches in 2017 is the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire in India. Recently, the Indo-Japanese company unveiled the compact sedan in India, and the new design language looks promising.

Ahead of its expected launch on May 16, 2017, the Maruti Dzire's mileage has been leaked. As per Team BHP, the new 2017 Maruti Dzire diesel model offers a mileage of 28.40km/l, while the petrol variant offers fuel efficiency of 22km/lm making the Maruti Dzire diesel model the most fuel efficient car in India.

Talking about the new Maruti Dzire, the compact sedan is based on a new platform and carries a host of changes to its profile and overall component list.

Up front, the Maruti Dzire resembles the upcoming next-generation Swift hatchback, while the rear profile is similar to the Ciaz sedan. Overall, the new Maruti Dzire is clean and premium over its outgoing model.

On the inside, the new Dzire features more premium interiors with the top variant receiving a large touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The steering wheel and the dashboard receive new faux wood inserts and rear AC vents for passengers.

As for the powertrains, the new Dzire will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel unit. The new Maruti Dzire will continue to be offered with the AMT and 5-speed manual gearbox.

As for the safety features, the new Dzire is equipped with ABS with EBD along with dual front airbags. Also, the new Dzire will get ISOFIX points in the rear seats as standard fitment.
