The interior of the new XUV500 could also sport only subtle changes. The recent spy images reveal that the interior of the refreshed SUV features instrument console backlight, centre console and steering wheel identical to the currently sold model. Mahindra might update the infotainment system with Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The facelifted XUV500 is likely to draw power from the existing 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine but will be tuned to produce 170bhp and 400Nm of torque. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Mahindra has recently launched the petrol variant of the XUV500, and the same 2.2-litre mHawk petrol engine producing 138bhp and 320Nm of torque could be seen on the facelifted model. Apart from that, there are no major changes done to the updated model.
