Two days ago, Lamborghini launched the Aventador S Roadster during the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, while also announcing the price of the car — Rs 5.79 crore ex-showroom (India).
Now, the Italian sports car manufacturer has opened booking for the same in India, which has enthusiasts eager to shell out money to buy one of the most powerful open top cars from the Italian stable.
For those who missed the car's specs, the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster comes with a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine that puts out 740bhp and 690Nm of torque to all four wheels through a 7-speed gearbox.
In the practical world, this means a 0 to 100km/h acceleration in time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 350km/h. Extensive use of carbon fibre has kept the weight of the Aventador S Roadster under check, ensuring the convertible has not gained much weight compared to the coupe version.
India is an important market for Lamborghini, as some of the exclusive cars ever made by the Italian brand have found permanent garages in India. The Aventador S Roadster as well is expected to find owners pretty soon.
