2017 Frankfurt Motor Show: Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster Launched
Lamborghini Aventador Roadster launched at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. Here’s more on the car’s specs and performance.
Lamborghini took to the stage of the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show to launch the Aventador S Roadster, that combines the technologies and dynamics of the Aventador S, but with an open top experience.
Launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster will carry a price tag of Rs 5.79 crore ex-showroom (India).
Speaking about the Aventador S Roadster, Sharad Agarwal, Head of Automobili Lamborghini India said, "The new Aventador S Roadster defines a new benchmark for the V12 Lamborghini. This car is for those who want to experience the thrilling emotion of an open air motoring with the performance of the Aventador."
"Customers can choose to maneuver the car on the roads as well as the track with the excellent driving dynamics, a technology that the Aventador S Roadster has to offer."
The Aventador S Roadster comes with a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine that makes 740bhp and 690Nm of torque, enough to propel the car from 0 to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds and help reach a top speed of 350km/h.
To make up for the lack of a roof, which affects the structural rigidity of the car, the Aventador S Roadster has gained 50kg, but the carmaker has managed to keep performance figures in check, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber.

Lamborghini is picking up sales of recent and India is playing a key role. Although the Aventador S Roadster will be an exclusive car globally, expect India to receive at least one example of the open-top two-seater.
