Spy Pics: Jeep Renegade Spotted Testing Again On Indian Roads
The Jeep Renegade has been spotted testing again in India; to launch in India in 2018 with an expected price of Rs 10 lakh.
Jeep finally entered India and has already created an air of excitement in the Indian automobile market. The American company is all set to launch the Compass SUV in India which has generated a lot of attention among buyers with Jeep receiving nearly 1,000 units bookings within three days of it being available for potential buyers.
Along the same lines, Jeep wants to enter the lucrative compact SUV segment in the country with the Renegade SUV. With the Renegade offered in India, Jeep wants to increase its footprint in the Indian automobile space.
The Jeep Renegade will be launched in India in 2018 keeping in mind the price sensitive nature of Indian buyers. The Renegade is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 - 12 lakh and will rival the likes of Maruti Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
Recently, the Jeep Renegade was spotted testing in India, and this is not the first time it has been spied, there have been numerous occasions in the past the Renegade was seen on Indian roads with camouflage.
The Renegade test mule in the image here is completely disguised but reveals some design elements. It retains the same boxy design of the model which is available in the global market. The Renegade features the signature 7-slat front grille like other Jeep vehicles flanked by circular headlamps. The SUV also features a chunky front bumper with a bigger air-dams with fog lamps on both ends.
On the rear, the Jeep Renegade spied here reveals a large bumper, complimenting the front design language with small taillights and a roof spoiler.
The India-spec Jeep Renegade is expected to wear leather interiors with a host of features such steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, and much more.
Power to the Jeep Renegade will come from a 2.0-litre diesel unit which will be offered in two states of tune: 138bhp and 168bhp. Jeep will offer the 4x2 and 4x4 option on the Renegade as well.
When launched, the Jeep Renegade will rival the likes of Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta.
