Honda WR-V Receives Overwhelming Bookings Since Launch
Since Honda launched the WR-V in March 2017, the crossover has received over 12,000 bookings.
Honda Car India seems to have found their mojo back with the WR-V crossover. The Japanese company has received over 12,000 bookings since the launch of the WR-V in March 2017 in India.
In fact, the Honda sold more 3,000 units of the WR-V in April 2017, which was the second highest after its best-selling City sedan. The Honda WR-V rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport in India.
So what does the Honda WR-V a potential leader in the hard-fought segment of entry-level SUVs in India? Although it might not be an SUV like the Brezza or the EcoSport, the WR-V is the longest in its class.
Additionally, the Honda WR-V boasts more features and a spacious cabin than its competitors. The WR-V crossover offers 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with optional Wi-Fi for internet support, cruise control, engine start-stop button, and segment-first electric sunroof.
Also, the Honda WR-V is offered with safety features such as ABS with EBD, and Dual front airbags come as part of standard fitment.
Honda WR-V is available in both petrol and diesel models. While a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine power the petrol model, the diesel unit is powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor.
The petrol mill churns out 89bhp and 110Nm of torque; the diesel motor produces 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. The diesel unit delivers class leading mileage of 25.5km/l; the petrol unit offers a modest 17.5km/l.
The Honda WR-V is available with the price range of Rs 7.75 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
