Mercedes-Benz India To Revise Pricing On All Models By March 15
Mercedes-Benz India has officially announced that it will be revising the pricing of all their models. The new pricing is applicable across the country from March 15, 2016. So far, the German luxury carmaker has not confirmed how much each model will witness a price hike.
The announcement comes soon after the Union Budget for 2016 was announced. An 'infrastructure cess' and luxury tax on luxury vehicles was also announced in the Union Budget. Mercedes-Benz India confirms that their range would witness a price hike between three to five percent.
The German-based manufacturer also confirmed that weakening of Indian currency is a reason for the price hike. Mercedes-Benz also stresses that rising input costs have pressured them on increasing model prices. A complete price correction will be soon announced by the manufacturer.
Mercedes-Benz plans to launch 12 new models in the Indian market during 2016. Last year, the German manufacturer introduced 15 new models. For 2016, Mercedes-Benz India has adopted the philosophy of 'Winning with Mercedes-Benz'.
The next model being launched by Mercedes-Benz in the Indian market is the Maybach S600 Guard model. This incredibly safe vehicle will be launched on march 8, 2016 in the country. Stay tuned for more details and updates on Mercedes-Benz India.
