Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol Variant Likely To Launch In 2017
The Vitara Brezza by Maruti Suzuki is all set to receive an optional petrol engine during 2017. Currently, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is offered only with a diesel engine.
Maruti Suzuki launched its sole compact SUV in the form of Vitara Brezza in India. The compact SUV was offered only with a diesel engine. Now, the Japanese-based manufacturer is contemplating on offering a petrol option sometime during 2017.
Vitara Brezza is amongst the top-sellers within the compact SUV segment. Maruti Suzuki has priced the Vitara Brezza aggressively at Rs. 7.19 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) for the base variant. Currently, the Vitara Brezza by Maruti Suzuki has a waiting period of over six months.
Under the hood of Vitara Brezza will be a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, BoosterJet turbocharged petrol engine. This engine produces 110bhp, along with 170Nm of torque, and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. So far, it is unknown whether an AMT option will be on offer or not.
All-new Vitara Brezza with a petrol engine will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport in India. Expect the petrol powered Vitara Brezza to bear a base price tag of Rs. 6.5 lakh ex-showroom. Do not expect any visual updates by Maruti Suzuki on their Vitara Brezza petrol model.
