Mercedes To Launch The ‘Made In india’ GLC On September 29
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz launched the GLC SUV in India recently, and coming September 29, the carmaker will launch the locally assembled vehicle in India. The GLC SUV will be made at the carmaker's plant in Chakan, Pune.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is currently sold as a Completely Built Unit, and costs Rs. 50.70 lakh for the diesel and Rs. 50.90 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) for the petrol variant. The main competitors for the Mercedes GLC in India are the Audi Q5 and the BMW X5.
The petrol variant of the Mercedes-Benz GLC comes with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 241bhp and 370Nm of torque. The diesel variant comes with a 2.1-litre engine that makes 168bhp and 400Nm ot peak torque. Both engines come paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Both variants come with Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. Other features include 18-inch wheels, LED tail lamps, leather seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display that supports navigation.
