Mercedes GLC Rumbles Into India; Prices Start At Rs. 50.70 Lakhs
German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLC SUV in India. Prices for the GLC start at Rs. 50.7 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The GLC is the fifth vehicle launched in India in the year 2016 by Mercedes-Benz and will initally be offered as only a Completely Built Unit (CBU) model.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Specifications
The all new GLC is available with one petrol and one diesel engine. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Design
The Mercedes GLC features a long wheelbase and and short overhangs.
The Mercedes family face dominates the front end of the new SUV with the dual slat grille featuring loads of chrome and sees the three-pointed star taking centre stage.
The grille is flanked by angular LED headlamps on the sides. Underneath the grille sits a large air intake with an underride guard done up in chrome.
On the sides of the car are running boards with an aluminium finish while the roof rails are done up in chrome. Also on the wings of the SUV are 'Edition 1' badges.
The GLC sits on 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the GLC features LED taillamps and two exhaust tips sticking out on either side of the rear bumper
Inside, the GLC features leather seats, ambient lighting, and an automatic sliding panoramic sunroof.
The centre console features an 'Edition 1' badge on the trim along with the controls for the 3-zone automatic climate control.
On top of the centre console sits the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display which also features the Garmin MAP Pilot app for navigation.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Safety Features
The Mercedes GLC has been awarded a 5-star safety by Euro NCAP and the SUV is full of features to keep its users safe.
This includes 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and Hill Descent control along with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

The Mercedes GLC will go up against the Audi Q5 and the X3 from BMW.
