BMW Open To Assembling Mini Convertibles In India
BMW is open to assembling the Mini convertible in India provided the sales of the cars reach a critical sales volume.

Speaking to PTI, BMW Group India President Philipp von Sahr said, "We can look at local assembly here, when we reach a critical mass in sales volume. That can happen some years down the line."
However, von Sahr stated the company does not want to make it a mass-brand for the sake of just increasing the volume by diluting the brand.
"Selling say 1,000 units as a premium brand and doubling that number at a lower price does not make much of a qualitative difference."
Mr. von Sahr made the comments at the launch of the new Mini Convertible in Goa.
