Mini Convertible Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 34.9 Lakhs
Mini India has launched the 2016 Mini Convertible In India. The convertible hot hatch is priced at Rs. 34.9 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Mini Convertible is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine found on the Cooper S. The engine produces 189bhp and 280Nm of torque.
The new convertible can accelerate from 0–100km/h in 7.1 seconds and the Mini will keep on accelerating till it tops out at 233km/h.
The power and torque is sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox and Mini does offer the option of 6-speed automatic as well.
The new Convertible features a start/stop system as well as regenerative braking system which helps it achieve a claimed mileage of 14.59km/l.
The Mini Convertible features a roof that can be retracted in 18 seconds. The boot space is a claimed 25 percent more than the previous generation model at 215 litres.
Optional features include an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display as well as a Harman Kardon hi-fi audio system and a heads up display.
