Anand Mahindra Gifts Olympic Winner A Brilliant Gift For Her Olympic Achievement
The ongoing Olympics has really put India on the map, as year on year, many athletes bring back medals. The latest Indian Olympic icon to shine is Sakshi Malik, who won the first medal for India, a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics.
Sakshi won the medal for wrestling, and people poured in appreciations for her victory. Of the many rewards announced, Anand Mahindra's was the most noted.
Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of the Mahindra Group, took to Twitter and immediately ordered Vivek Nair, the Chief Marketing Officer at Mahindra to prepare a special gift for the wrestler — a brand new Mahindra Thar.
Although there were mixed emotions on twitter, we would say Anand Mahindra is a gem of a person to take such a step, when no other person has.
Also, the Haryana government has announced a Rs. 2.5 crore reward for Malik, recognizing her achievement at the Olympics.
