Volkswagen India First Company To Receive ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Written By:

Volkswagen India is the very first company to receive an ISO 9001:2015 certification. TÜV India and TÜV Nord Group conducted a three-day audit at the beginning of December 2015. Volkswagen's India facility is the first company to be certified ISO 9001:2015 within the VW Group.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) promises customers consistent quality. ISO 9001:2015 was released just three months ago. Volkswagen's India facility was the first company to apply and be approved with the latest certification.

Volkswagen's Indian facility is situated in Chakan Pune. The German automobile manufacturer focusses on delivering the best quality products to its customers. With the ISO 9001:2015 certification Volkswagen India further cements its commitment.

ISO 9001:2015 certification is expected to lower the damage that Volkswagen encountered in its global fiasco. Volkswagen Group recently announced a recall in the Indian market for certain products. ISO certification is internationally recognised and Volkswagen surely needs to be proud on being the first to receive approval.

Volkswagen Group currently offers five automotive brands in the Indian market: Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini. VW Group has over 12 automotive brands under its wing and could be bringing a few of them to India soon.
