New Ford EcoSport Launched In India At INR 6.80 Lakh

The new Ford EcoSport launched in India at a starting price of INR 6,79,563 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The compact SUV has received a tweaked up engine, and features a lot more creature comforts as well.

Engine Specifications:
The significant tweak in engine performance wise comes for the 1.5-litre diesel engine. It now produces 100 PS and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It returns 22.27 kpl.

The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 112 PS and comes with a choice of either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The petrol engine returns a fuel efficiency of 15.85 kpl.

The award-winning 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine on the other hand, produces 125 PS of power and delivers 18.88 kpl.

Features:
The new EcoSport comes with automatic headlamps, signature light guide, daytime running lights, electrochromic mirror*, rain sensing wipers, SYNC with Ford AppLink and Ford's Emergency Assistance. The compact SUV will also sport daytime running lights.

*electrochromic mirrors automatically deflects a beam of light from trailing vehicles to minimise obstruction.
