Mercedes Classic Car Rally To Take Place In Mumbai
Mercedes-Benz India is organising a special event for vintage car lovers in Mumbai. On December 13, 2015, the Classic Car Rally is being held at Trident in Nariman Point. The rally was also held last year and witnessed exceptional turnout.
Classic Car Rally is organised to celebrate the heritage of Mercedes-Benz. Vintage car owners will drive their iconic vehicles from Nariman Point to Kala Naga via Sea Link and back. Registration opens on December 13, 2015, at 8:30 am and the drive commences at 10:30 am.
During the 2014 Classic Car Rally Mumbai, approximately 70 vintage vehicles participated. The 2015 edition is expected to witness a higher number of restored vintage cars on the road. Owners from all over India are expected to come to Mumbai and showcase their piece of history.
Mercedes-Benz had a successful year in the Indian market. The German luxury carmaker launched 15 new products in the country during 2015. Mercedes is also the top-seller among Audi and BMW in terms of sales in India during 2015.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas also had another successful outing in Formula One Championship. Lewis Hamilton won the drivers title while Nico Rosberg finished a close second. The duo dominated the season winning the constructors title for the second time in a row.
