Honda BR-V Launches In Indonesia; India Launch Soon
Honda has launched the BR-V compact SUV in Indonesia and will be bringing this model to India as well. Previously, Honda showcased the BR-V as a concept at the 2015 Indonesian Motor Show. Pre-bookings were accepted and Honda had recorded over 4,000 orders prior to launch.
Here is the pricing of Honda BR-V in Indonesian market:
- Honda BR-V S manual transmission is priced at IDR 22,65,00,000 or Rs. 10.93 lakh India equivalent.
- Honda BR-V E manual transmission is priced at IDR 23,65,00,000 or Rs. 11.42 lakh India equivalent.
- Honda BR-V E CVT is priced at IDR 24,65,00,000 or Rs. 11.90 lakh India equivalent.
- Honda BR-V E Prestige CVT is priced at IDR 26,15,00,000 or Rs. 12.63 lakh India equivalent.
In Indonesia, Honda will be offering a single 1.5-litre iVTEC, petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual or an optional CVT gearbox. The engine produces 118.31bhp, along with 145Nm of peak torque output. For India, Honda will be including a 1.5-litre iDTEC diesel engine in the BR-V.
The BR-V by Honda will compete with likes of Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, and Renault Duster. Honda is expected to price the BR-V at Rs 8 lakhs for base variant while the top-end could be in the range of Rs. 12 lakh ex-showroom.
