Headline William Clay Ford Director Of Ford Motor Company Passes Away
The last surviving Grandchild of Henry Ford, WilliaM Clay Ford Sr. passed away at the age of 88. He was the Director Emeritus of Ford Motor Company and also owned Detroit Lions, a National football league team.
Ford officials stated that William Clay Ford passed away on Sunday. He sucummbed to pneumonia and passed away in his own house.

William Clay Ford, Jr., executive chairman, Ford Motor Company said,"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community."

He further added,"He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."

William Clay Ford Sr. was dedicated and generous, he also was a philanthropist and community leader. He had various other activities outside the Motor company. He was nominated President of Detroit Lions football team, which he later acquired in 1963 and was chairman up until his death.
In Remembrance and honor to William Clay Ford Sr., American as well as Ford flags will be lowered for 30 days at Ford Motor Company. Outside U.S. Ford facilities will follow local customs.
