Volkswagen Beats General Motors For Second Biggest Car Maker
Volkswagen beat rival General motors to the second place, in being the second largest car manufacturer in the world. Toyota took the cake by beating both the Germany and U.S.A, based on last years sales, which were revealed this friday.
Volkswagen reported selling 9.73 million units, this 2013. Those numbers include all of the German's sub-brands even truck manufacturers Scania and Man.
A Volkswagen Official commented, "These are the definitive of all our brands. They are comparable with our rivals, who also include heavy trucks."

Scania, SEAT, Skoda,Porsche, Audi, Ducati, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti and VW commercial vehicle.
The German auto-manufacturer is believed to achieve it's long term target of achieving over 10 million unit sales, even before it estimated goal year of 2018.
Toyota achieve selling 9.98 million units last year, while General Motors sold 9.71 million vehicles.

The German has three car in the list of top ten best selling cars in the world. They are the VW Golf, VW Passat and VW Beetle. They are the highest spending company, in terms of research and development.
Translated from German Volkswagen means 'people's car', while their current slogan for the brand is Das Auto which translates to 'the car'.
