Mahindra Reva Auto Expo 2014 Plans
The 2014 Auto Expo is round the corner and Mahindra Reva will be showcasing an electric sports car concept, Formula E-car and an update of the e2o.
Mahindra will be competing in the FIA Formula E Championship, the curtain raiser is September 2014. Mahindra is the only Indian team with a Formula E car in the zero emission race event.
The all-electric race championship will feature 10 races in it's opening season. Races will be held around the world, London, Beijing and Los Angeles are the few inclusions.
Mahindra's primary reason to participate in the Formula E championship, will be to lend its knowledge and studies from electric racing cars to its passenger cars.
The Indian auto manufacturer will feature a new electric sports car, set to be unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. A new version of the e2o and Mahindra Verito with an electric option will be at their stall.
The new e2o will feature a new charging system, which will reduce charging times claims Mahindra. The new variant will be available to book, soon after the 2014 Expo.
Maxximo, the light commercial vehicle will have an electric option too now. It will be displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo. Mahindra plan to put the LCV on sale Late 2014.
