Toyota Etios Cross India Launch At Auto Expo 2014
Toyota Etios Liva, the only hatchback offered by Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidy of the Japanese auto giant will soon be seen in a new avatar. That of a crossover. Toyota Etios Cross as it will be called, will be launched at the Auto Expo 2014 in February.
Etios Cross is a model that was launched in Brazil and Argentina in November last year, but has been spotted being tested in India several times in the last few months.

Etios Cross is a model much like the Volkswagen Cross Polo that was launched in India last year. This means the changes over the regular Etios are mostly visual. These include a much larger front bumper, new alloy wheels (the South American version gets 10 spoke alloys), faux silver skid plates, plastic sides mouldings, wheel arch paddings and silver roof rails.

The end result is an Etios Liva hatchback that looks aggressive and off-roadish. Though the updates do not in anyway improve its offroading capabilities.
The engines powering the Etios Cross will remain the same as the regular hatchback, which are the 68 bhp, 1.4 liter diesel and the 89 bhp, 1.5 liter petrol units.
Once launched Toyota Etios Cross will compete against VW CrossPolo and the rumored Fiat Punto Adventure.
