Volkswagen India Names Thierry Lespiaucq As MD
Volkswagen India, which was left without a leader after Arvind Saxena moved to rival General Motors India, has come out with a name. Mahesh Kodumudi, president and managing director, Volkswagen India will serve as the chief representative for the Group in the country.

However, from May 1st, 2014 onwards Thierry Lespiaucq will take over the reins as the new Managing Director of the company. Lespiaucq is currently with Volkswagen Mexico as the group director.
Thierry Lespiaucq, like his predecessor, has plenty of experience in the automotive industry, with a total experience of 35 years. Lespiaucq joined Volkswagen in 2004, before which he was the CEO of Renault-Nissan Suisse and even before that, the CEO of Toyota France. Lespiaucq also has experience working with General Motors for 14 years, taking care of sales, aftersales and service.
