GM New India Head; Arvind Saxena
General Motors confirmed appointment of Arvind Saxena, yesterday. He has been appointed as President and Managing Director of GM India, effective 1st March, 2014.

Arvind Saxena will take over from Lowell Paddock, who will be transferred to GM International Operation and will be assigned as Vice-President, Planning and Programme Management.

Stefan Jacoby, GM Executive Vice President and President, GM International Operations stated, "We are delighted to have Arvind join our team and with his extensive experience, lead us in to a successful future in India, with its significant growth potential."

He further added, "GM is committed to India and with Arvind's leadership, we look forward to recognizing the long-term growth potential of the market."
With two decades of experience in sales, marketing and management, Arvind Saxena has loads of experience with Indian and Global manufacturers.
His career began with Escorts Ltd., Motorcycles and Scooter Division in 1983 as Area manager. He then joined Bajaj and within three years left for Maruti Udyog as Regional Manager.
Arvid then joined Fiat India for a year as General Manager and returned back to Maruti as General Manager of Sales and was soon promoted, Chief General Manager of Sales.
Before joining GM, Arvind worked for VW as Managing Director of Passenger Cars, he also was part of the Board of Directors of Volkswagen Group Sales India.
