Tata Motors Get Deal From JnNURM
Tata Motors have received an order of 2700 buses under the JnNURM - II scheme. The orders include 487 buses for The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and another 780 buses for the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC).
These URBAN buses from Tata have a new front design and are designed with safety and urban commuting in mind.

The buses will be equipped with CCTV cameras, to monitor movements inside the bus and they have wider passenger aisles, wider window panes, and wider and lower entry-exit doors for making public transportation easier for the masses.
The new Tata URBAN buses will come with Intelligence Transport System (ITS) which will connect via electronic destination display boards, that will give information regarding expected time of arrival at bus stops and route announcements in the bus.
Comfort wise, these buses will have bucket type seats, softer suspension and tubeless tyres. These buses can also hook up to the central control room server and be monitored.
These MarcoPolo buses will be equipped with a six speed gearbox and cable shift mechanism.
