Hyundai Elite i20 Breaks Own Booking Record

South Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai has recently launched its premium hatchback in India. The i20 has been replaced by Hyundai's Elite i20 in India. The hatchback has a distinctive look and design, which will attract many potential buyers.

The striking Elite i20 has broken record's among Hyundai's product range. The automobile manufacturer has reported over 79,200 inquiries by customers for their new hatchback. It has translated to roughly 15,300 booking since the past 20 days.

The record was earlier held by Hyundai's Xcent compact sedan. It was launched at the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held in New Delhi. The vehicle had amassed 11,000 bookings within a matter of 30 days. However, the Grand had gathered 10,000 bookings in 20 days.

Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing- HMIL commented, "We are overwhelmed by the customers strong appreciation and acceptance of the new Elite i20 making it a huge success. He further added, "The demand of Elite i20 has doubled and we are working towards increasing its production to reduce the waiting period for faster deliveries so as to delight the customers."

Hyundai offers its Elite i20 with both petrol as well as diesel options. The 1.2-litre Dual VTVT Kappa petrol powered engine delivers excellent fuel efficiency of 18.60 kpl. While, the 1.4-litre CRDi diesel powered engine provides fuel efficiency figures of 22.54 kpl.

South Korean manufacturer has launched its Elite i20 starting at INR 4,90,000 to INR 7,67,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. Hyundai also offers Eon, Santro Xing, i10, Grand i10, Xcent, Elite i20, Verna, Elantra, Sonata and Santa Fe. They have also announced their plan of introducing a compact SUV and MPV for the Indian market.
