Ssangyong To Showcase 2 Concepts At 2014 Paris Motor Show
South Korean automobile manufacturer Ssangyong focuses and takes pride in its SUVs. They are currently in partnership with Indian automobile giant Mahindra. Ssangyong has introduced its Rexton model in India and is positioned as a premium SUV.
The 2014 Paris Motor Show is the most ideal platform for most manufacturers to showcase their new technology and concepts. Ssangyong will be displaying not one, they will be unveiling two new concept models at the motor show.
The South Korean manufacturer has provided us with both images of their concept vehicles. The first concept SUV is called XIV Air and the second is called the XIV Adventure. The vehicles are officially going to be showcased on 2nd October, 2014.

Both the vehicles are supposed to go into production soon and can be expected as early as next year. Ssangyong will provide the vehicles with both petrol and diesel engine options. The South Korean manufacturer will provide 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines.
Ssangyong has made sure the engine will pass stringent emission standards across the globe. Ssangyong has made sure the engine will pass stringent emission standards across the globe. The South Korean claims these two hicles to be practical, convenient, while not compromising on style.
The new concept vehicle follow a new design philosophy. The vehicles look more rugged and tough compared to their previous models, however, it is unclear how much they will incorporate into their production model.

We believe Mahindra could ask Ssangyong to introduce these new vehicles in India as well. The vehicles will continue with their premium pricing and will be a niche product in India. However, globally it will be an affordable and practical SUV.
