Setco Automotive To Co-Own Allied Partners T1 Prima Truck Racing Team
Setco Automotive, the largest manufacturers of Premium Quality Lipe clutches, has announced its participation in the Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship as associate sponsor. In addition, Setco will also co-own a racing team, Allied Partners.
Setco Automotive has been a long time strategic partner of Tata Motors, catering to 90 percent of the automaker's clutch technology requirements for more than 2 decades.
The truck racing championship, which will be held on March 23rd, Sunday at the Buddh International Circuit, will see six teams, each with two trucks, going head to head in specially built Tata Prima racing trucks.
The first year will only see experienced international drivers race these beasts at high speeds around India's only F1 racing circuit.

Tata's Prima trucks are heavily modified 4038.S models powered by engines that generate 370 BHP at 2100 RPM, capable of taking them up to a top speed of 110 Km/h.
The Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship is the first of its kind motor racing event in India that's modelled on the British Truck Racing championship and European Truck Racing championship. Steve Horne, the two-time British truck racing champion, and one of the most celebrated, longest serving truck racing drivers will also participate in the race.
