Polaris India Participates In Desert Storm 2014
Polaris India, the subsidiary of Polaris Industries, the world's largest off-road and all terrain vehicle manufacturer, is taking part in this year's edition of Desert Storm, one of the most challenging desert rally championships in the country.

This is the third consecutive year Polaris India is participating in the Desert Storm championship. In this year's edition the team is taking part in the Xtreme 4 Wheelers category T3 with the RZR XP 900 and the Sportsman 850.

Desert Storm 2014 got a ceremonial start from New Delhi on the morning of 24th February, 2014. However, the actual start of the Rally was from Sardarshahar, Churu in Rajasthan in the late night hours of 24 February, 2014.

The route set for the Rally covers 2,500 kms through the rough terrains of Sardarshahar (Churu), Bikaner, Jaisalmer and ends in Jaipur on the 1st of March, 2014.

For the first time this year the Rally will continue into the night for 3 nights, adding a new dimension to the already challenging event.

Driving the RZR XP 900 is award-winning ace rider Raj Singh Rathore along with navigator Vishnu Singh. Rathore was the winner in the Xtreme Quad category last year.

The second Polaris, the Sportsman 850 is being driven by Ankush Gulati.
